Another sad, and hard won victory for the victims of child abuse

Philadelphia Arch-Diocese, Monsignor Lynn was convicted to three years to six years in prison today for knowingly shielding clergy who had sexually abused children.

This will send shock waves through the church, to every clergy member in every denomination and beyond, and to anyone who is a predator of the young and innocent.  If not for the courage of those who took a stand to speak out against this wrong doing, this could not have come to pass. Who knows how many children may be spared, as predators and those that turn a blind eye to them, are getting the message that there are severe consequences.  More importantly, I believe that countless thousands are being silently vindicated as these heinous acts are brought to light.  Shame will point in the direction of the abuser and those that live in conscious denial of their acts, and not to the abused.
