The Summer the A/C’s Stayed on High   Leave a comment

After a soaking soggy spring

The soil could barely dry

Then throughout the summer long

The a/c’s ran on high

Mosquitos buzzed, tourists swat

The sun with swelter scorched

Stealing days to laze upon the porch

Nothing seemed the norm

Yet through it all, and all the change

Chances were the same

To call on God by name

With gratitude, the God I know

Always remains the same
