Saving Petunia   4 comments

“No one could make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do little.” – Edmund Burke

This is Petunia, now an 8-month old puppy who would have died if not for a Good Samaritan, Baltimore Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), and the medical team at Noah’s Arks Rescue.

Read the miracle stories on Lisa Feistel’s Facebook page, and here on my previous posts of how Petunia came into our lives, and will be released into our care when she is fully rehabilitated.

On May 28, 2014, Petunia was only six months old. She was unable to stand or walk, and had been left for dead while suffering in pain. When she was found, she was placed in critical care from agonizing burn wounds. The horrifying abuse inflicted on this sweet girl is unconscionable. Since arriving at Noah’s Arks Rescue she has undergone constant medical treatment  and will remain in the compassionate and committed care of specialists for another two to three months. They will make sure Petunia is getting the best care possible for her extensive injuries. Her pain and suffering must be a call to action for us all!

The person who did this to Petunia represents many others who have committed horrific inhumane acts toward animals who have also suffered at the hand of evil cruelty.

We believe Petunia has survived to tell her story through us. She will live and be happy because Noah’s Arks Rescue said, “YES”!

We will be a voice for her and other abused animals. As a society we must not turn away from these acts of violence towards innocent life.

Help us give back to Noah’s Arks Rescue for all they have done for Petunia. In Petunia’s name, and for her life, we want to raise funds to help give back to this amazing non-profit organization, committed to saving severely abused and neglected dogs and cats.
