The Power of God’s Love So Healing   1 comment

Is there something I’m not seeing

Up there in the clouds

The sunlight casting shadows

Still they seem the same

But how I see has changed

Activities are overtaken

By doctors, tests, an orthopedist and a dentist to add to the rest

Sometimes this blurs my vision

And challenges my faith

But like needing weights for greater muscle

Gives me reason to stand the test

Faith grows stronger especially when its tested

She is greater and ever present

To combat any storm

And gives to me new vision

To be inspired not forlorn

Let me not forget the power of giving thanks

Like water to a starving plant

Drown me in your love dear God

And saturate my soul with the gift of your living Spirit

May I consider always the needs of others with prayers and the power of your love

This gives me evidence of your presence

And your will and mine in peace become as one

A Power Greater   3 comments

FBClouds copyEvery heart longs for love

And desires Your approval

Yet mortality makes worthiness sometimes seem so out of reach

How can You entrust us with so much

And how can we forget Your love

And Your unfailing acceptance

In all things You have made us

More than conquerors, You have made us

Although at times enslaved by worldly thoughts

Ideas wrought my man and not by Spirit

Help us please to grasp the Sword of Your Spirit

That slays phantom dragons and shatters lies that no longer can consume us

Arm us to protect new seeds to grow in Your love and in Your light

One with You, worthy of kinship, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ

New Beginnings   Leave a comment

When starting most endeavors I always ask for help

‘Oh God please bring Your Spirit here for what would be the best’

And in the end, no matter what, all will be well when the Spirit is in the mix

This, of course, does not include our mortal vices

For example, let’s say roulette

Shortcomings and addictions I surrender to God instead 😉

However, life’s choices can be a gamble but with God there’s little risk
