How Much Time Do You Have for Me   3 comments

I can wait

For I am eternity

Waiting for your desire

To spend all of it with Me

Patience is a gift

And I cannot give to you

What is not already all of Me

Open your heart

And your eyes will see

A glimpse of all I have in store for thee

Be prepared to receive My love

In measure so immeasurable

It must overflow to burst upon a hungry, wanting, waiting world

As my messenger you receive

The gift of being my ambassador

You may not see your reward today but do not be forlorn

For hope is ministered through my angels’ hands to feed your soul, to keep you strong

Remember I am faithful

And I am always with you

Waiting, wanting, loving you

Curtain Call   8 comments

Oh Lord I pray to hear your voice when you call

Especially in times when I cannot see you at all

Like a mariner dependent on bearings and instruments

Seeking port on a far and distant shore

Cause my heart to rise above the depths of unknown seas

And in that fleeting moment bask in the brilliance of Your majesty

Growing Home   3 comments

An infant wiggly wide-eyed wanderer

Innocence in a world of wonder

Knowing only love and momma kisses

Growing in my body

Conversely shrinking in my soul

When momma kisses were no more

Through self-inflicted tragedies and flirtations with life’s end

The turn around was just beyond the bend

When an unexpected occurrence in my heart began

Jesus was introduced as my Savior and my friend

Astounded by this newfound love

A gift from God our Father-Mother from above

How to live expecting the miracle each new day can bring

To never again be alone

To live to love

Each day getting closer … while I’m growing home

I Find You When I Seek You   6 comments

I’ll keep my eye on You
To distract me from a world that’s torn apart
For my world with You
Is whole and filled with peace
When I keep my eye on you

We are not far from forever
We are living here and now each day for the better
While my heart runs its race with quickened pace to find its way to You
I think of living now as Our forever

Coincidence, a nod from You
Vibratory sunset hues
An angel in disguise
Shows me You are near
Not just now but always and forever

Knowing Where My Home Lies   2 comments

How happiness can be curtailed

By the sudden notion of its temporariness

How families once united must each go their own way

That nothing in this world can stay

In any sort of constant state

Oh grievous heart now heavy sinks

When all at once acknowledging

This is not my home

Do not here relax and think

That this is all there is

Oh God with strings from heaven

Lift my heart to Thee

Where angels sing and love and joy is born anew in each and every moment

Where eyes are fixed on only You

For this is why I know

That to You my heart belongs

And for You, I live a foreigner

On this plain till work is done

With love to give me breath each day to carry on

What it Takes to Keep Ducks in a Row   2 comments

Oh God you have been my go to — in between and during — all of this life’s demands
And now I find myself discontent while searching emails, browsing Facebook, Instagram, or text
How quickly … how quickly … how quickly I suddenly forget
That the info that I need to look for are the messages from You
The Holy Spirit that guides all that I seek to know and need to follow
The wonder you have bestowed in nature … here and now before me … almost begging to be seen and be acknowledged
And above all, with gratitude aplenty, be a vessel overflowing faith and love and peace that comes from simply seeking You

Staying Aloft   3 comments

I pray to not let the churning of the world’s endless disturbance

Deter me from the sacred space I share with Thee

Listening for the song of Your Spirit calling

In concert with all Creation

Attention on the promise of Your peace and Your protection

Overcoming darkness in the light of Your reflection

Mining the goodness in each other

Living because of Your unconditional gift of Love

That multiplies with every offering of thanks
