The Unexpected   2 comments

– The Unexpected –
Sometimes things just don’t add up
Other times things reconcile to a tee
Most important is not to make
Perfectionism an idol

Letting go and letting God
Doesn’t mean to not have a care in this Divine process
But rather to trust and be the best steward that I can be
For with the God who loves us more than we could know
Miracles are possible and visible every day
I thank you God for your eyes constantly upon me
And all Your beloved creation

All is known by You and nothing can be hidden
Take from me I pray, anything that would obstruct
The good purpose that You’ve planned

In my mind choices are preconceived as doors number one, two, or three
But by letting go and letting God
Leaves room on my plate for more
Because with You there’s always that unanticipated door number four

God is so much bigger than anything the world can do
I hear your gentle whisper, ‘I am here; and I am loving you’

Knowing Where My Home Lies   2 comments

How happiness can be curtailed

By the sudden notion of its temporariness

How families once united must each go their own way

That nothing in this world can stay

In any sort of constant state

Oh grievous heart now heavy sinks

When all at once acknowledging

This is not my home

Do not here relax and think

That this is all there is

Oh God with strings from heaven

Lift my heart to Thee

Where angels sing and love and joy is born anew in each and every moment

Where eyes are fixed on only You

For this is why I know

That to You my heart belongs

And for You, I live a foreigner

On this plain till work is done

With love to give me breath each day to carry on

The Veil is Torn   Leave a comment

Come to know and to expect the Spirit working in quiet wondrous ways

For angels are always in your presence

Be alert and compassionate seeking how to please

You are precious and valued beyond your imagining and in My constant

 loving sight

There is no need to be guarded with Me

For what you try to conceal will only try to steal your soul

My love cannot be borrowed or purchased

It is a free will offering

To be received and returned willingly

By faith you are healed

By grace you live

By mercy you are forgiven

And the scars of your history are healed

By the forgiveness you allow

Broken hearts give sight to the sufferer

For the cost of true compassion is dear

See Me … for I am always here

In seabirds, sunsets, white capped waves

And in the mirror of your self examination

Leave your calendar open daily with room aplenty for God to enter in

To find at day’s end  your slumber laced with  peace filled recollections of the Spirit’s encounters that are undoubtedly uniquely yours

When our mind is set

To the point we are obsessed

Who then is the captive

And which one of us is caged

Choosing How to Have a Happy New Year   Leave a comment

For Christmas I gave myself the gift of deleting all my news apps and turning off notifications. I will choose the time and the source to stay informed … In the meantime, and I pray all the time, I will cling to God’s good news, the message of hope, and the reassurance of God’s Divine Supremacy … and because of that I can gratefully and sincerely claim a Happy New Year ~img_4102

An Everyday Necessity   Leave a comment

Peace and Love . . .

It’s that time of year

What time is that you say

It is now; it is always

It is our weapon against war

It is our agent for all disease

It is what wakes us up

And gives us pause

Not to rise up in rebuke

Not to lay down in denial

Not to lie, but to edify

And only when the Spirit says it’s called for
